Video conferencing
Network Services has a variety of video conferencing systems and facilities equipped to meet the varied needs of the Yale community.
The cost of a video conference is inexpensive when compared to the cost of a business trip. The benefits of video conferencing are not limited to typical business applications. Yale students are able to arrange interviews by prospective employers without having to leave the campus. Video conferencing can be used to offer classroom instruction, on the job training, continuing education, and special lectures and seminars. Distance learning is also impacting traditional public education systems by linking together elementary and secondary schools and connecting them to valuable university resources.
Services are available Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Special arrangements can be made for conferences that need to take place at other times. The Network Services department will assist you in all aspects of the video conference including locating and reserving a public video conferencing room for the other participants.
For information about video, audio, and web conferencing services contact ITS Network Services Customer Services at 2-9700, or telecom.custrelations@yale.edu.
