Your computing hardware needs should mirror what you need to accomplish in your work. Our “General recommendations” provide basic specifications for those who need to run email, scheduling, web and basic office productivity tools. If your job requires the use of specialized programs such as statistical software, then you should find a support provider who can advise you in the purchase of hardware that can meet your needs.
