SMTP server message: 550 - message rejected
Your message has been rejected because it came by way of a server listed on a deny-list for spam. If you have legitimate a purpose you may want to contact your party by other means such as postal mail, fax or phone. It you are a a System Administrator or run your own mail server please see the instructions at SpamHaus for being de-listed.
You can determine if a particular server is listed as a spam sender. If you are that server's administrator, you can receive instructions to have your server removed. The deny-lists are very conservatively and responsibly managed by spamhaus.org and are refreshed several times a day. This means that sites listed because of incidental behavior, such as virus generated spam, are removed once they have corrected the problems.
Yale affiliated individuals should use authenticated email to send email.
Non-Yale individuals should review the email options recommended by their own institutions and contact the local computer support for those institutions. You can also use the online postmaster form if you are confused by the blocklist process or are not sure what the next steps are. If you prefer to call, you may phone the Information Security Office at (203) 432-1248
Note: The blocklist process is a service used by Yale and other institutions. We are not responsible for adding or removing servers. Your System Administrators must follow the links and instructions from http://www.spamhaus.org/ Also, if a site is removed without remediating what caused it to be listed, such as an infected machine sending spam, it may be relisted.
