About Yale Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides computing and communications infrastructure, services, support, and innovation for Yale's instructional, research, public service, and administrative programs. ITS works closely with many other departments and organizations through our relationship managers to provide a wide range of services for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others.

To carry out its mission, ITS meets regularly with the ITS Advisory Committee.

The Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Information Technology Services at Yale ITS is Len Peters. ITS is led by the CIO Staff consisting of the University CIO and ITS Leadership.

Academic IT Solutions
Academic IT Solutions is led by Associate CIO Ed Kairiss. Academic IT Solutions provides technology support to the faculty and students of Yale University as they engage in learning, teaching, and research. We partner with the Yale academic community to leverage the power of technology by providing innovative solutions, world-class services and committed technology leadership.
Campus Technology Services
Campus Technology Services is led by Senior Director, Jeff Capuano. Campus Technology Services is a tier 1 support organization focused on interacting with ITS customers on a daily basis. We are the first point of contact for many commodity IT services and our emphasis is on enhancing the productivity of our customers by providing service as quickly as possible. One of our primary objectives is improving customer satisfaction with world class experiences.
Information Security
Information Security is led by Chief Information Security Officer, Rich Mikelinich. The Information Security Group is led by the Yale CISO, Rich Mikelinich. The group focuses on day to day security operations, network monitoring, system compliance and the protection of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Yale Information Assets.
Infrastructure Services
Infrastructure Services is led by Senior Director, Susan Kelley. Infrastructure Services provides a variety of technology services used across the university. Services include: data and voice networks, cellular, smart and desk phone service, data center services, virtual servers, tiered storage and backup, database administration, enterprise web infrastructure and system and application support.
Management Services
Management Services is led by Senior Director, Russell Sharp. As the Office of the CIO, our goal is to provide services which lead and support the short, medium and long term efficiency and effectiveness of the ITS organization. We incorporate IT Strategy, Governance and Policy, Financial Management, Project and Portfolio Management, Organizational Change Management, Service Process, Quality and Performance Management, and Vendor Management.
Medical and Health Sciences
Medical and Health Sciences team is led by Associate CIO, Joe Paolillo. Medicine & Health Sciences works closely with Yale Health and the Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Public Health. Our goal is to identify current and emerging IT needs, help formulate solutions, and assist in the ongoing delivery of services from ITS and other providers. Conversely, we will help ITS develop or identify sources for services based upon emerging needs. While Medicine & Health have many unique IT needs in their delivery of Education, Clinical, Research, and Administrative services we will look for opportunities to leverage similar needs, especially in education and research, across the University.
Shared Solutions Group
Shared Solutions Group is led by Associate CIO, Brian Wolson. The SSG leads client teams that are accountable for end-to-end delivery of client needs including the design, build and deploy functions of ITS including Quality and Release Management, Business Intelligence, and all application development teams.
Solutions Design
Solutions Design is lead by Associate CIO, John Jibilian. The Solution Design team will establish an innovative and ambitious technology vision for Yale, encompassing academic and administrative capabilities. The team will work with ITS colleagues to realize the technology future, providing game-plans, frameworks, processes, and technologies necessary to make rapid and efficient progress. Some of the key areas of focus for the near term include enterprise collaboration, learning environments, laboratory management, and new-age administrative systems, along with requisite underlying development and integration platforms.
Strategic Initiatives
Strategic Initiatives is led by Senior Director, Marc Ulan. Working collaboratively across ITS and with our partners, this group is responsible for the planning and delivery of ITS's most complex and mission critical initiatives.
