Jayne Ptolemy
My interests in Early American race history have brought me here to the joint program with History and African-American studies. I hail from the liberal arts tradition, completing my undergraduate work at Albion College in 2006. I hope to expand upon the work I was able to explore at Albion, which concerned the intertwinings of benevolence, race prejudice, and considerations of respectability in Early National Philadelphia.
